Does Sea to City charge planning fees?

As professional consultants, we charge a daily fee per each day of travel. After a complimentary phone consultation with an advisor, we charge your non-refundable Consulting Fee to begin working together. Daily fees vary among team members and will be confirmed in the initial inquiry phase.

DO YOU BOOK LAST MINUTE TRIPS?

We take last minute trips on a case-by-case basis to ensure we have the capacity to dedicate time to your trip. An additional 50% supplement will be added to our consulting fee.

Do you have a minimum required budget for trip planning?

Our expertise and preferred partnerships are in the world of luxury travel, which includes five-star hotels and resorts, and private villas. In general we provide the most value for clients with a minimum budget of $1000 per person, per day for a comprehensive itinerary. In that regard, we have a minimum budget of $10,000.00 USD per week of travel, excluding international air. However, please note different destinations and time of year of travel may require different budgets.

DO YOU HAVE ACCESS TO DISCOUNTED RATEs?

We do not have access to discounted rates. Occasionally, we will have Advisor-specific promotions, such as a "Stay 3, Pay 2," which we will quote for you if available. While we may not provide the least expensive travel option, we pride ourselves in providing rates that have the best value for our clients’ money. Our value is in added amenities and the ability to VIP your stay.

I AM A PLANNER MYSELF. WHY SHOULD I WORK WITH A TRAVEL ADVISOR?

We cater our service to every individual client. If you enjoy the research, we can collaborate with you utilizing your research to curate your itinerary. Our goal is elevate your experience, whether it be booking a hotel you "discovered" that we have partnerships with or sharing ideas we think fit your style. We also take the tedious tasks such as airfare, transfers and insurance off your to-do list to provide a well-rounded itinerary and we VIP you along the way. With that said, we pride ourselves on a high standard of service; we are not order takers so we may not be for everyone.

Do you provide a pricing breakdown for comprehensive trips?

Sea to City Travels provides one complete trip price. Hotels may be priced individually but will depend on our relationships and logistics involved in the destination. Per our confidential supplier contracts, we are not permitted to provide pricing for each individual component of your trip. If you wish to remove any component(s) of your trip, Sea to City Travels is happy to update your trip proposal and price accordingly.

My hotels are booked. Can you plan experiences and logistics?

In order to provide a seamless travel experience, we require hotels be booked within your Sea to City Travels itinerary. However, there are some cases where we understand extenuating circumstances; perhaps you are attending a wedding in Italy and are booking into their wedding block for 3 days but want to continue traveling. Let us know if situations like this arise so we can discuss from the beginning of your trip planning process.

DO YOU MAKE DINNER AND SPA RESERVATIONS?

Yes, as full-service agency, we arrange all meal and spa reservations throughout your itinerary. The exception is if you are utilizing our complimentary hotel booking service. In that case, we happily connect you with the onsite concierge team for assistance.

DO YOU BOOK VILLAS OR RENTAL HOMES?

Yes, we have access to a global portfolio of villas, apartments and rental homes. However, we do not work with Airbnb or Vrbo.

CAN YOU ASSIST WITH MY INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS?

Our Air Desk are pros at researching and securing airfare. We monitor your flights leading up to travel to manage any schedule changes or cancellations. In travel, you will have a 24/7 Number to assist with flights changes or emergencies as needed. Our Air Desk charges a per ticket fee.

Can I use points when booking hotels and airfare?

We are unable to use your points for hotel or airline bookings. However, we can add Frequent Flier numbers to your airlines reservations to ensure you are gaining points for your reservations.

do YOU ARRANGE PRIVATE JETS OR YACHT CHARTERS?

Yes, we work with vetted aviation and yacht partners to source the correct equipment and crew for your needs.

HOW IS MY FINAL ITINERARY DELIVERED?

Approximately 2 weeks prior to your departure, you will receive an email containing both a PDF itinerary, as well as access to our mobile itinerary app. Via this app, you can easily read your itinerary while on the go.

HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH CLIENTS THROUGHOUT THE PLANNING PROCESS?

Each trip begins with a complimentary consultation call to discuss your trip parameters and vision. After the consultation call, we communicate with you every step of the way. Given that we operate our business all over the globe, our preferred communication method moving forward is email, however, we are happy to schedule calls as needed throughout the process.

14.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY TRIP?

Cancellation penalties vary depending on which suppliers are involved in your trip and when you cancel. Cancellation policies will be communicated on your proposal before deposits are paid or reservations are made.

DO YOU RECOMMEND TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Travel insurance is highly recommended. A quote will be provided once final trip price is determined. We are not sellers of insurance. Instead, we partner with insurance providers out of convenience for our clients. Travel insurance may provide coverage for cancellation for specifically defined reasons, as well as coverage for medical expenses, travel delays, baggage loss, etc.

DO YOU BOOK WEDDINGS OR GROUPS?

While we can't plan your wedding or corporate event, we are able to assist with your room blocks and group travel logistics. Pending your group, our fees may differ from our standard daily rate.
